[MTN Health Team] A slim figure with voluminous breasts, is it really the 'realm of the gods'?

By 2015-08-26No Comments

Recently, as a toned physique is preferred over a mere skinny body, women's desire for "voluptuous breasts" is growing even stronger. However, it is easy to lose breast volume while dieting, and achieving a slim figure with full breasts is considered difficult unless one is blessed by God. Even women who previously had a full B-cup find themselves having to buy new underwear after losing just over 5 kg.

When you lose a significant amount of weight, the breasts are bound to disappear first. The breasts consist of 75% mammary glands and fibrous tissue, with the remainder being fatty tissue. As you lose weight, the fat in the breasts decreases along with it, inevitably causing the breast size to shrink.

In fact, if you want to dramatically increase your breast size, getting breast augmentation is the answer. However, even if you decide to have surgery, choosing implants is a burden. You are also worried that after the surgery, the breast shape might look unnatural, like a rice bowl placed on top, or the texture might feel awkward.

Recently, 'stem cell fat graft breast augmentation,' which overcomes the drawbacks of conventional implant surgery, is gaining popularity. Instead of using implants for breast augmentation, adult stem cells extracted from the patient's own excess fat and pure fat are injected into the necessary areas.

Shin Dong-jin, director of SC301 Clinic, stated, “Stem cell fat grafting involves isolating stem cells from a portion of centrifuged fat, mixing them with the remaining fat, and transplanting the resulting mixture to the necessary areas,” adding, “It offers not only the ability to maintain volume but also therapeutic effects for fine wrinkles and melasma.”

Microcapsules were added to further enhance the engraftment rate. The capsules contain polydeoxyribinucleotide, a liquid cell growth promoter, and sophorolipid, a microbial-derived natural surfactant.

Director Shin Dong-jin explained, “These compositions act as a booster to increase engraftment rates by maximizing the diffusion, angiogenesis, and expansion of stem cells,” adding, “The injected capsules are uniformly dispersed at the transplant site, maximizing the fat cell growth effect.” This addresses the problem of needing two or three revision surgeries after stem cell breast augmentation due to insufficient surviving fat volume or low engraftment rates.

State-of-the-art fat grafting equipment, such as TGI, HuriCell, and MultiStation, used in stem cell fat grafting fundamentally prevents side effects like calcification or unevenness and maximizes the effectiveness of the surgery. Caution is advised as there are currently only a limited number of hospitals in Korea equipped with this equipment.

Above all, the key to success is the amount of stem cells administered, and typically, more than 1 million cells must be injected. A 'cell counter' helps verify this.

Director Shin is the first innovator in Korea to establish stem cell breast augmentation techniques, having already demonstrated a stem cell engraftment rate in the 70% range based on clinical results from 2008–2009 and 2010–2011. Recently, he proved an engraftment rate in the 76% range by publishing a research paper from Shandong University School of Medicine in China, which indicated that higher levels of Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 (FGF-6) contained in adipose stem cells correlated with a greater increase in chest circumference six months after the procedure.

SC301 Clinic has been developing stem cell breast augmentation since 2007. Director Shin Dong-jin is a leading figure who first introduced stem cell-based breast and facial plastic surgery to a field that had previously relied solely on artificial implants. As the President of the Korean Society of Stem Cell Plastic Surgery, he currently possesses experience in over 2000 stem cell cosmetic surgeries.
