Interest in 'breasts,' which contribute to a feminine figure, shows no signs of waning. Just as women strive to achieve an ideal body shape, they worry about their breasts whether they are small or large. As summer approaches, another concern is 'firmness.' Regardless of size, sagging breasts are difficult to present as an attractive feature. While there are various reasons for breast sagging, it is primarily caused by damage to the Cooper's ligaments within the breast. A woman's breasts are suspended by thin fibrous tissues called Cooper's ligaments, which are prone to stretching even with minor irritation. If the Cooper's ligaments become stretched, the breasts cannot return to their original state and sag permanently.

Individuals with significantly sagging breasts may consider breast lift surgery. Since the surgical method varies depending on the degree of sagging, it is essential to consult with an experienced doctor. Breast augmentation is commonly used. 

In such cases, breast implant surgery is often the first thing that comes to mind, but many women hesitate due to significant side effects and an unnatural appearance. Recently, 'stem cell breast augmentation,' which allows for breast size enhancement while maintaining the original shape without looking awkward, has been attracting attention.

Stem cell breast augmentation is an upgraded version of 'fat grafting,' a surgical procedure utilizing tissue engineering. The limitation of simple autologous fat grafting was that the engraftment rate was only 20–30%, causing the volume to disappear shortly after the procedure. 

Dr. Shin Dong-jin, director of SC301 Clinic, introduced the procedure by stating, “We have retained the principles of autologous fat breast augmentation while addressing limitations such as the low engraftment rate. By combining extracted fat with internal stem cells, we have raised the engraftment rate to the 70% range, minimizing the loss of transplanted fat. This allows for sufficient volume and improved elasticity with a single surgery.”

He continued by explaining, “Stem cell fat grafting involves separating stem cells from a portion of centrifuged fat, mixing them with the fat, and transplanting them to the necessary areas,” adding, “Since stem cell breast augmentation is not a simple procedure, the surgery must be performed at a hospital that is fully equipped with the necessary equipment and has extensive experience.”

SC301 Clinic is the first private hospital to introduce a cryogenic freezing system (CBS), storing residual fat in a healthy manner after surgery. For secondary procedures, the clinic activates and utilizes these well-frozen pure fat cells. The hospital is equipped with the latest stem cell extractors, such as HuriCell, TGI, and CHA Station, to extract and separate stem cells quickly and accurately using fully automated systems.

Director Shin Dong-jin is the first innovator of stem cell breast augmentation. He developed a breast augmentation method that fully utilizes the effects of stem cell surgery, raising the engraftment rate of transplanted fat cells to over 70%. Furthermore, based on research data from 2007 to 2010, he proved the effectiveness and safety through two papers. 

In 2013, the results of stem cell breast augmentation on 200 patients in their 20s to 50s who were available for follow-up observation for one year were analyzed, revealing that chest circumference increased by an average of approximately 5 cm regardless of age. The women who underwent the procedure received injections of at least 90 cc and up to 260 cc of fat cells and stem cells into each breast.

Director Shin explained, “Stem cell breast augmentation retains the principles of autologous fat breast augmentation but integrates the extracted fat with the body’s own stem cells. Thanks to this, the engraftment rate is high, resulting in minimal loss of transplanted fat, allowing for sufficient volume to be achieved with a single surgery.”
