As summer approaches, many women are wearing lighter clothing. Although an individual's beauty cannot be fully judged solely by external appearance, excessive sagging belly and thigh fat causes many women to lose confidence and withdraw.

Body lines distorted by excess fat are not only unattractive but can also be a cause of various diseases. Obesity increases the risk of diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cerebral infarction, and asthma, and causes hormonal imbalances in the body, which can lead to various metabolic disorders.

In 1996, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined obesity itself as a disease that causes various illnesses and increases human mortality. Although "Post-Corset," a movement rejecting excessive makeup and adornment by women due to social pressure, has recently become a hot topic in South Korea, many medical experts agree that body shape management is essential for protecting women's own health, regardless of the Post-Corset trend.

Fat accumulated in the abdomen or thighs can be resolved to some extent through dieting or dietary changes. However, the problem is that only the size of the fat cells decreases; the number of fat cells themselves does not decrease. Fat cells that have temporarily shrunk due to dieting can rapidly accumulate fat again once the body receives a smooth supply of nutrients, becoming a cause of the yo-yo effect.

To date, the only medically known methods to prevent the yo-yo effect by controlling the number of fat cells are liposuction and liposuction.

Liposuction involves making small incisions in the abdomen or thighs and inserting a thin, tube-shaped device called a 'cannula' between the fat tissues to separate fat cells from the tissue and then suction them out.

There is an important point to note here. Liposuction must be performed with meticulous care to avoid invading the skin, muscles, or major organs, in addition to the fat tissue. However, attempting to suction with only meticulousness and using excessively weak force makes it difficult to achieve the desired results. Therefore, for safe and effective results, liposuction should be performed by a doctor with exceptional know-how and experience, who possesses both meticulousness and physical strength.

Recently, there has been growing interest in stem cell breast augmentation, which utilizes residual fat from liposuction to naturally increase breast volume. This method involves removing impurities from the aspirated fat tissue, purifying and mixing only pure fat cells and adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs), and then injecting the mixture into the space above the breast.

Stem cell breast augmentation can be described as a procedure that reflects women's physical concerns, where they prefer larger breasts and less excess fat on the abdomen or thighs. It is also a medical solution designed for women who are hesitant about the insertion of artificial materials such as implants or fillers.

Stem cell fat grafting, which involves mixing stem cells and fat cells, is effective in increasing the survival rate of the fat. When only pure fat cells are purified and injected, the so-called 'survival rate'—the percentage of fat cells that survive in the injection site, such as the chest, after 1 to 2 years—is at the level of 10 to 20 percent.

If 100cc is injected, only 10 to 20cc remains, rendering the surgery practically meaningless. However, if stem cells that secrete various growth factors and generate blood vessels to promote the reorganization of separated fat cells are mixed with fat cells, the engraftment rate reaches an average of 76%, allowing for effective breast augmentation.

However, there are points to note for effective stem cell breast augmentation. Since side effects or accidents frequently occur when unverified pseudo-stem cell procedures are performed using poor-quality equipment or by medical staff with insufficient skills, thorough prior inspection is required.

In particular, to ensure the effectiveness of stem cell breast augmentation, more than 5000 million high-quality stem cells must be extracted and purified at once using high-efficiency extraction equipment and then properly combined with fat cells; however, caution is required because there are many procedures that are called stem cell breast augmentation but are actually no different from simple fat grafting due to a lack of technique in this regard.

Therefore, if you are considering surgery, it is recommended that you decide on the procedure after verifying whether the hospital is a specialized stem cell breast augmentation clinic equipped with professional equipment for stem cell extraction, purification, and injection, and staffed with skilled medical professionals.
