After giving birth, you have the face of a young woman... but if your bust line collapses

After breastfeeding ends, fat and mammary tissue contract, losing elasticity and becoming prone to sagging… Effects of stem cell breast augmentation

Ms. Lee (30), a kindergarten teacher three years after giving birth, sighs when she sees her breasts losing their firmness. Her figure, which was full of elasticity before pregnancy, disappeared after giving birth. The bra that used to fill a B cup began to sag as if empty after she finished breastfeeding. Now that she has finished breastfeeding, she has tried yoga and applying creams to improve breast firmness, but to no avail. Eventually, she turned to surgery and decided to regain her breast firmness through 'stem cell breast augmentation.'

"I recently went to a public bathhouse and heard a woman say, 'I thought you were a young woman just by looking at your face, but looking at your chest, haven't you given birth to two or three children?'" said Lee. "I was offended, and I decided to have surgery to regain my confidence."

Women undergo hormonal changes during childbirth, and after delivery, skin elasticity decreases due to factors such as breastfeeding, eventually leading to changes in the shape of the breasts. While breastfeeding allows for emotional bonding with the baby, aids in the baby's immune, nervous, and intellectual development, and can even provide the mother with postpartum weight loss benefits, the problem of breasts rapidly shrinking and sagging due to nursing is unavoidable.

Dr. Shin Dong-jin, director of SC301 Clinic, stated, “When breastfeeding is stopped, the enlarged fat and mammary gland tissue in the breasts contract abruptly, reducing the elasticity of the dermis layer and causing breast ptosis, where the breasts sag downwards.” He added, “In addition, the breasts are prone to shrinking and losing elasticity.”

In such cases, stem cell breast augmentation is helpful. Stem cell breast augmentation minimizes the foreign sensation caused by implant insertion and raises the engraftment rate from the low 20–30% range, which was a limitation of simple fat grafting surgery, to the 70% range.

Fat is harvested from areas such as the abdomen and thighs, and pure fat cells are isolated. High-quality stem cells are then extracted from these cells and transplanted into the breasts along with the fat cells. Since the amount of transplanted fat absorbed is minimal, the procedure can be completed in a single session. Furthermore, it removes unwanted excess fat, allowing patients to enjoy the benefits of liposuction, resulting in high patient satisfaction.

Director Shin Dong-jin introduced the procedure, stating, “Adding stem cells to adipose tissue extracted from the patient’s body induces blood vessel formation around the cells, causing the engraftment rate to jump to the 70% range and resulting in high patient satisfaction,” and added, “Stem cell plastic surgery is safer and more effective than conventional surgical methods if performed with specialized knowledge and skilled techniques.”

Director Shin is the first innovator in Korea to establish stem cell breast augmentation techniques, having already proven a stem cell engraftment rate in the 70% range based on clinical results from 2008–2009 and 2010–2011. Recently, he published a research paper from Shandong University School of Medicine in China stating that the higher the content of fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2) contained in adipose stem cells, the greater the increase in chest circumference six months after the procedure, thereby proving an engraftment rate in the 76% range.

After the procedure, preparatory work is sometimes performed to refine the breasts for stem cell breast augmentation through dietary therapy, such as consuming beneficial lipids like Omega-3s, and specially designed exercise regimens. This process is beneficial as it promotes better engraftment and allows for the extraction of a greater number of adipose-derived stem cells.

During the procedure, a 'fat graft tissue regeneration promoting composition' is injected to increase the fat survival rate. Developed and patented by Director Shin Dong-jin, it encapsulates liquid cell growth promoters such as polydeoxyribinucleotide in microcapsules. The patented ingredients act as a booster to enhance the survival rate by maximizing the diffusion of stem cells and the formation and expansion of blood vessels.

SC301 Clinic provides special post-procedure care utilizing remote devices. Based on seven years of expertise, they have developed dietary regimens, exercise routines, and stress-relieving healing music that help improve graft survival rates, incorporating these into an application to offer the service. In recognition of his achievement in inventing this app, Director Shin received the Minister of Food and Drug Safety Award at the 4th Asia LOHAS Industry Exhibition in 2015.
