For those with a complex about having small breasts, interest in breast augmentation increases particularly during the summer. This is because there are more opportunities to wear revealing clothing and swimwear at beaches and swimming pools. However, when considering breast augmentation, you should not focus solely on how beautiful you look. You must verify how long the effects last and whether there are any side effects.

◇ Mixing with stem cells increases fat cell survival rate

A relatively common side effect after breast augmentation is capsular contracture, in which the breast tissue surrounding the implant hardens. Additionally, the shape of the implant may become unnatural, and a foreign body sensation may be felt. For this reason, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recommended that silicone implants be replaced every 10 years after surgery to prevent leakage, rupture, and capsular contracture caused by the implant.

'Autologous fat graft breast augmentation' was developed to compensate for these shortcomings. This method involves transplanting fat from the abdomen or thighs into the breasts, but it had limitations, with a fat survival rate of only 20–30%. Dr. Shin Dong-jin of SC301 Clinic stated, "This limitation can be overcome by isolating stem cells and mixing them with fat cells before transplantation." When Dr. Shin conducted a study on 120 patients who underwent stem cell breast augmentation in 2010, the fat cell survival rate six months after surgery was 70.41%. Furthermore, an analysis of the one-year follow-up of 200 patients who received this surgery last year showed that their chest circumference increased by an average of 5 cm.

◇ "Thorough pre- and post-operative care as well"

Simply performing stem cell breast augmentation does not guarantee a higher survival rate for fat cells. To increase the survival rate while preventing fat cell necrosis, an appropriate number of adipose-derived adult stem cells must be transplanted tailored to the patient. Over 1 million adult stem cells must be administered after extraction during the surgery. However, Director Shin explains that a significant number of hospitals lack the proper equipment to count the number of adult stem cells after extraction. SC301 Clinic is equipped with a cell counter, a device capable of both extracting stem cells and monitoring the surgical progress.

Body condition before and after surgery is also important. Thin individuals tend to have limited space within the breasts, making it difficult for fat cells to engraft. Therefore, it is necessary to use a negative pressure device before the procedure to expand the breast tissue and reduce tissue density. This ensures sufficient space for fat cells to enter and increases the survival rate. After surgery, consuming high-quality fats and proteins is essential for successful engraftment, but many people worry about gaining weight. In this case, using the FDA-approved fat-dissolving laser 'Rapyex Cutin Laser (LCL)' allows you to add volume to the breasts while preventing weight gain in areas such as the abdomen and thighs.
