If stem cell breast surgery proceeds to the second or third stage, you should suspect 'pseudo-stem cells'.

Breast augmentation is one of the most widely performed cosmetic surgeries among women, used to improve the size and shape of the breasts. In recent years, stem cell breast augmentation using adipose-derived adult stem cells has gained popularity. While this surgery offers various advantages and possibilities, it also carries the risk of side effects and an increased number of surgeries due to the use of pseudo-stem cells.

For stem cell breast augmentation, excess fat is first removed from the patient's abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks, and upper arms. High-purity stem cells are then extracted from this fat using a centrifuge and enzymatic treatment. The current standard for stem cell breast fat grafting involves mixing the extracted high-purity stem cells with pure fat cells in a golden ratio and re-injecting them. Unlike conventional breast augmentation with implants, this method offers the advantages of minimizing concerns about side effects, pain, and scarring, while also creating natural-looking breast volume. 

On the other hand, when simple fat cells are transplanted into the breasts, they are absorbed within a few months, causing the engraftment rate to drop to around 30%. Since stem cells have the ability to differentiate and proliferate cells according to the conditions of the transplanted tissue, there is a significant difference in engraftment rates depending on whether stem cells are isolated from excess fat and injected, as in stem cell breast augmentation, or whether simple excess fat is injected, as in autologous fat grafting. 

PRP breast fat grafting is a procedure in which Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), extracted from the patient's blood, is injected simultaneously with fat grafting to serve as a substitute for stem cells. PRP is an autologous tissue healing agent contained within platelets that increases elastin and collagen, making it effective for wound healing and scar reduction. However, unlike stem cells, it lacks the ability to differentiate and proliferate into specific types of cells or tissues, so utilizing PRP in breast augmentation does not significantly affect the engraftment rate. 

In addition, the practice of performing repeated surgeries two or three times to improve the reduced engraftment rate at a low cost should also be suspected of being 'pseudo-stem cell plastic surgery.' According to a study titled 'A Review of Breast Augmentation Using Fat Grafting with Vascular Stromal Fractions' published recently in the SCI international journal 'Annals of Plastic Surgery,' the average engraftment rate of fat cells at 18 months after stem cell breast augmentation reaches 77.48%, and the engraftment rate can be maintained with just one surgery.  

However, even with proper stem cell-based plastic surgery, results can vary depending on the medical team. Surgical outcomes can differ widely depending on the surgical skills accumulated through years of clinical data, the specialized surgical system, and how systematically pre- and post-operative care is provided.
