Stem Cell Breast Augmentation: How to Significantly Increase Fat Cell Survival Rate

Stem cell regenerative medicine shows significant effectiveness in breast augmentation

With the recent advancements in stem cell regenerative medicine, stem cells are now being utilized in breast augmentation. Stem cells are cells capable of differentiating into various types of body tissues. For a while, autologous fat grafting was popular as it addressed the drawbacks of implants, but many patients were disappointed due to a lower-than-expected engraftment rate.

In contrast, stem cell breast augmentation eliminates the side effects associated with conventional implant surgery, such as capsular contracture, rupture, and leakage, and does not cause a foreign body sensation. Since the patient's own fat is injected, it also resolves the unnatural shape resulting from movement caused by implants.

In particular, it is attracting attention for raising the low survival rate, which was a limitation of simple fat grafting surgery, to 70%. Even when fat is extracted from unnecessary parts of the body, such as the thighs or abdomen, and transplanted, it is not absorbed or disappears within the body, thus reducing the inconvenience of revision surgery.

Specialized equipment and technology are needed for stem cell plastic surgery

However, not all stem cell cosmetic surgeries on the market are effective. Since this surgery requires precision in sensitive areas, it necessitates specialized equipment and cell handling techniques. In particular, some hospitals extract only small amounts of adult stem cells from sources such as blood or bone marrow, rather than utilizing the expensive equipment and technology required to extract large quantities.

To increase the engraftment rate of fat cells in stem cell breast augmentation, approximately 7,000 million or more adipose-derived adult stem cells must be administered. However, the number of cells extracted from blood or bone marrow is significantly insufficient in comparison. Therefore, if adipose-derived adult stem cells are not used, the engraftment rate is bound to decrease.

Shin Dong-jin, director of SC301 Clinic, stated, “While there are hundreds of stem cell breast augmentation clinics in Korea, very few medical institutions are properly equipped with devices to extract stem cells and perform the procedure meticulously.”

Caution Needed with Pseudo-stem Cell Breast Augmentation

Patients should pay attention to the price before choosing stem cell breast augmentation. A survey of the price range for the same stem cell breast augmentation revealed that costs vary by more than three times depending on the hospital.

Since equipment for extracting stem cells is expensive, the cost of the procedure is inevitably high. Therefore, if a hospital offers an excessively low price, you should be suspicious of the equipment used. Ultimately, you may end up deeply disappointed if you do not see the expected results despite spending a significant amount of money.

To prevent this, it is advisable to directly verify the number of stem cells injected using a 'cell counting' device. Even with the latest equipment, it is impossible to gauge the engraftment rate based on the equipment's performance without a specialized support system dedicated solely to cell counting.

Director Shin Dong-jin Proves 70% Graft Survival Rate in Stem Cell Breast Augmentation

In addition, the most important thing before surgery is to receive treatment at a facility that has accumulated surgical experience and objectively proven stable procedural efficacy through extensive research.

Shin Dong-jin, President of the Korean Society of Stem Cell Plastic Surgery, has published a series of research papers based on data collected from 2008 to 2010, demonstrating an engraftment rate of over 70%. He currently operates SC301 and is conducting research to ensure the safe implementation and widespread adoption of stem cell surgery.
