Brides-to-be, How to Achieve a 'Cleavage Look' That Enhances Your Dress Shape

Ms. Lee (28), a bride-to-be, recently went on an extreme diet ahead of her wedding photoshoot and managed to lose 20 kg in two months. However, the problem arose elsewhere. Her figure, which was previously voluptuous, became thin. She chose a wedding dress with a design that emphasized her chest, but it did not suit her chest at all because it had sunken in. She is concerned about whether there is a way to solve this problem, as the breast pads create an overly artificial appearance.

A beautiful bust line maximizes femininity and fully enhances the silhouette of a wedding dress. A survey even revealed that breast augmentation is the most preferred cosmetic procedure among brides-to-be. However, undergoing breast implant surgery with the wedding ceremony just around the corner can be somewhat burdensome.

In reality, breast augmentation using implants often causes long-lasting side effects that interfere with daily life. In such cases, autologous fat grafting can be considered. Instead of implants, fat is extracted from areas with excess fat, such as the abdomen or thighs, and transplanted into the breasts. The softness, sway, and elasticity are natural, appearing as if they were your own breasts.

You can be discharged within a day and resume your daily life the following day without any issues. Since there is no need for separate post-operative care, such as massages like with implant surgery, the burden is minimal, making it a worthwhile option for brides-to-be preparing for their wedding while working.

However, simply injecting fat carries a high risk of the transplanted fat being absorbed by the tissue, leading to a decrease in the remaining volume. The key factor in fat grafting is the 'survival rate,' which indicates how much fat remains after surgery; in the case of simple autologous fat grafting breast augmentation, this rate is only 20–30%. To address this, an upgraded version called 'stem cell breast augmentation' has emerged.

Shin Dong-jin, director of Apgujeong SC301 Clinic, stated, “When adipose-derived adult stem cells contained in fat tissue extracted from a patient’s abdomen are injected into fat grafting surgery, the engraftment rate can be increased through the stem cells’ immunosuppressive response, resulting anti-inflammatory effects, differentiation into fat cells, chondrocytes, bone cells, and muscle cells, and the induction of angiogenesis.” He further emphasized, “To achieve proper results from stem cell breast augmentation, approximately 1 million or more stem cells must be administered in a single procedure, a figure that can be verified using a cell counting device.”

Here, a 'secret weapon' is added to further enhance the engraftment rate. He injects 'microcapsules' that boost engraftment rates along with stem cells. Director Shin explained, "The components within the microcapsules act as a booster to increase the engraftment rate by maximizing the diffusion of stem cells as well as the formation and expansion of blood vessels." He added, "The injected capsules are evenly dispersed at the transplant site, maximizing the fat cell growth effect." He further stated, "Microcapsules can resolve the problem of requiring two or three surgeries due to insufficient surviving fat volume after breast augmentation."

Many people hesitate due to concerns about swelling caused by sudden procedures. Swelling from cosmetic surgery is localized swelling resulting from damage and requires careful management. To effectively reduce it, the focus should be on blood circulation. Dr. Shin Dong-jin advised, “Consuming foods that promote blood circulation or engaging in light exercise after surgery helps swelling subside more quickly,” adding, “However, vigorous exercise that causes sweating should be avoided, as it can hinder the reduction of swelling or decrease the survival rate of fat cells.”

It is also advisable to refrain from salty foods that prevent water loss.
It is advisable to take the prescribed antibiotics diligently and refrain from wearing a bra until the transplanted fat has fully taken root. When going out, you can simply wear a wire-free bra. As long as you keep these points in mind, there should be no major issues.
