[Star Daily News = Reporter Hwang Kyu-jun] As issues related to breast implants have recently emerged as a major topic, an increasing number of women are turning to stem cell breast augmentation using their own fat as an alternative.


Stem cell breast augmentation utilizes adipose-derived stem cells extracted from fat, which aid in the engraftment of the fat; unlike stem cells extracted from blood or other sources, these cells do not assist in breast augmentation.

   

For this reason, it is necessary to verify once again whether fat-derived stem cells extracted from fat, which aid in fat engraftment, are being used correctly.

Furthermore, stem cell breast surgery fundamentally requires high-priced equipment and the extraction and use of adipose-derived stem cells that aid in actual engraftment rates. Since it involves highly complex extraction and purification processes, it inevitably entails a physically necessary amount of time; moreover, because the procedure requires counting each stem cell one by one, it is impossible to perform the surgery in a short time.

Adipose-derived stem cells are, quite literally, stem cells that aid in the engraftment of fat. At least 5 million to 1 million stem cells must be injected to achieve an engraftment rate of over 70%, and this procedure becomes what is commonly referred to as "real stem cell breast augmentation" only when supported by pre- and post-operative care and skilled techniques from medical professionals.

Since this is a highly difficult surgery, it is priced high, and you must check international papers proving the engraftment rate to expect an effect of over 70%.

Due to the nature of stem cells, the equipment required for extraction and purification processes is expensive, and since the cost of consumables alone is substantial, it is difficult to provide services at a low price.

In particular, due to the nature of stem cells, expensive equipment such as HuriCell or TGI is used; however, if the patient receiving the treatment cannot count each individual stem cell, it is impossible to verify how many stem cells necessary for engraftment have been injected. Therefore, equipment capable of counting is considered essential alongside the expensive equipment.

Stem cells isolated from blood or similar sources are of minimal quantity and are therefore of no help whatsoever in breast augmentation, which requires a high engraftment rate. To verify whether it is a genuine stem cell breast augmentation, one must directly count the number of fat-derived stem cells using cell counting and visually confirm that they are being injected accurately.
