Summer is just around the corner; cut your waist and 'boost' your bust.

Magnolia blossoms burst like popcorn and fell before we knew it, and last weekend, heat comparable to midsummer arrived. Women, too, are bustling about like the feet of a swan gliding on a lake, striving to achieve a figure with a "cut waist and voluminous bust line" before entering summer.

The crowning glory of a beautiful physique reaches its peak in naturally full breasts. However, recent domestic and international reports regarding the insertion of silicone implants containing harmful chemicals into breast augmentation surgery—leading to ruptures, tissue rejection (inflammation and exudate discharge), and exposure to potential cancers (increased risk of implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL)—have dampened the desire to undergo the procedure.

An alternative to this is 'stem cell breast fat grafting,' which has been booming in Korea for the past 20 years. Excess fat is harvested from the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, and upper arms, and high-purity stem cells are extracted from it. These two types of cells are then mixed with pure fat cells in a golden ratio and injected into underdeveloped breasts. Since the patient uses their own tissue, there is no need to worry about rejection or inflammation, and the procedure leaves no visible traces. Whether for a first surgery, a revision, or breast reconstruction after cancer surgery, it is considered the safest procedure for achieving natural-looking volume.

Stem cell breast augmentation is considered not only by women preparing for employment or marriage, but also by proactive women seeking to regain their confidence. Furthermore, this procedure is also considered by those whose breasts have suddenly shrunk due to pregnancy and childbirth, or who have lost elasticity due to weight loss from rapid dieting.

However, it is true that there is a lack of information and uncertainty regarding where to receive proper surgery. The most important factors are the doctor's surgical experience, specialized personnel capable of skillfully handling high-purity stem cells and fat cells, and the infrastructure of facilities and equipment. To achieve this, at least 500 million won in current monetary value is required, and it takes at least two years to acquire the necessary proficiency through trial and error.

Therefore, it is only natural to be suspicious of receiving treatment at hastily established clinics using shoddy equipment and cell materials. In particular, one should not be deceived by those who mislead patients by claiming to perform stem cell breast augmentation using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) kits. PRP is a means to promote wound healing and help firm the skin texture in cosmetic procedures; it possesses almost no function to act as a stem cell, which induces transplanted cells to engraft and proliferate in the affected area.

Many patients in regional areas feel that there is no suitable stem cell breast augmentation available in their region. They also wonder why university hospitals do not perform this surgery. This is because mastering stem cell breast augmentation requires significant time and money. If you wish to receive satisfactory stem cell breast augmentation, I recommend choosing an expert who has dedicated themselves to this field.
