If you want to look young, enhance your lines: Stem Cell Anti-Aging Plastic Surgery

The craze for looking young is intense these days.

The word "youthful" is included in every category, such as youthful makeup, youthful fashion, youthful hairstyles, secrets to looking young, and foods for a youthful face. This is because, in reality, including the word "youthful" can double the attention people receive.

This can be seen as a reflection of a reality where the desire of people to look young has been maximized. While the passage of time cannot be stopped, how can the ambition of those who want to prevent aging as much as possible be considered excessive?

However, unless you have a naturally youthful appearance to begin with, it is not easy to look young. Being overweight can make you look older, and conversely, being too thin can also make you look older.

A face with a non-smiling expression tends to look relatively older, but conversely, smiling too much can make one look older due to wrinkles caused by the smile. It is not simply a matter of facial features; there are various reasons why one can drift further away from a youthful appearance.

If there is one way to overcome these various causes, it is volume. If you focus on facial volume rather than the shape of the eyes, nose, and mouth, you can create a much younger-looking face. The softer the curve of the forehead, the rounder the jawline, the rounder the eyes, and the blunt, shorter the chin, the closer you are to a youthful appearance.

In addition, people with a receding chin, nasolabial folds, or sunken cheeks can achieve a youthful appearance by filling in these deficient areas. As such, stem cell anti-aging surgery is gaining popularity as a method to restore facial volume.

Stem cell anti-aging surgery is a method that takes the existing surgical approach of adding volume to the face through autologous fat grafting to the next level. It is a surgical technique that enhances one's natural charm while minimizing side effects, rather than adhering to the conventional standard of a "plastic surgery beauty."

It involves adding stem cells to autologous fat grafting, which originally involved extracting excess fat from the body, such as the thighs or abdomen, and transplanting it to the necessary areas. The principle is to separate stem cells from a portion of centrifuged fat, mix them with the fat, and transplant them to other areas.

In the case of conventional autologous fat grafting, the survival rate of transplanted fat was only 20–30%, resulting in less satisfaction even after the procedure. Although side effects were minimal, the volume gain was also minimal, so there was not much difference before and after the surgery.
However, with the addition of stem cells, the engraftment rate rose to 70%, and patient satisfaction using this surgical method increased. Furthermore, stem cell anti-aging surgery is gaining popularity day by day as it not only maintains volume but also offers treatment effects for fine wrinkles and blemishes.

Director Shin Dong-jin of SC301, an expert in stem cell cosmetic surgery, advised, “As the number of people preferring stem cell surgery has recently increased, procedures that are merely ‘stem cell surgery’ in name only are flooding the market,” adding, “It is important to find a clinic that performs genuine stem cell surgery.”

According to Director Shin, several factors are required to be recognized as a hospital performing genuine stem cell cosmetic surgery. First, one must verify whether the facility is equipped with effective equipment. It is advisable to examine the various devices available for pre- and post-operative care.

Next, you must verify whether a counter capable of checking the number of administered stem cells is installed. Since the cost involved in actually extracting, maintaining, and finally configuring the stem cells for transplantation is enormous, you must therefore look for a hospital that properly executes these procedures.

Finally, one must verify whether they possess accumulated know-how. Meanwhile, Director Shin is a key figure who first introduced stem cell-based breast and facial surgery in a field of cosmetic surgery that had previously relied solely on artificial implants. He has been developing stem cell breast augmentation since 2007 and, as the president of the Korean Society of Stem Cell Plastic Surgery, currently possesses experience in over 2000 stem cell cosmetic surgeries.
