What is the secret to making your dress look great two months before the wedding?

Ms. Lee (29), a bride-to-be with a wedding scheduled for April, has been working hard on her diet for two months to achieve a perfect figure. To properly wear the dress she wants, she has lost about 10 kg through a diet and intense exercise regimen that rivals that of a supermodel.

Ms. Lee's 'dream wedding dress' is an empire-line dress that features a cut just below the bust at the waist to make the legs look longer.

Having lost a significant amount of weight since my pre-wedding fitting, I tried on the dress again, but the bust was too loose and didn't look good. Since the shoulder and bust lines were fully exposed, it seemed difficult to accentuate the bust line with a padded bra as usual.

The dress shop suggested that changing the wedding dress design would be the most realistic option. However, since it is a once-in-a-lifetime wedding, she did not want to compromise. Ultimately, Ms. Lee is considering undergoing 'stem cell breast augmentation.'

Recently, the power of stem cell therapy in the medical market has been growing stronger day by day. Stem cells possess rapid healing and recovery capabilities based on their ability to differentiate into desired cells, induce angiogenesis, and provide anti-inflammatory effects, leading to a trend of active utilization in cosmetic surgery.

Stem cell breast augmentation involves extracting pure fat cells and stem cells from fat cells harvested from areas such as the abdomen or thighs, mixing them in a specific ratio, and injecting the mixture into the dermis of the face or breasts. In this process, fat-derived stem cells are primarily extracted.

Dr. Shin Dong-jin, director of SC301 Clinic, explained, “Unlike conventional simple fat grafting, stem cell plastic surgery involves adding stem cells to pure fat cells,” adding, “This process can increase the survival rate of the transplanted fat by more than double.”

The engraftment rate refers to the survival rate of tissue when injected from a specific area to another desired area. Statistically, the engraftment rate for conventional simple fat grafting was only about 20–30%. In contrast, with stem cell cosmetic surgery, a rate of over 70% can be expected.

In fact, Director Shin has proven the high engraftment rate of stem cell breast augmentation through papers published since 2012. In a paper published in 2013, an analysis of the results of stem cell breast augmentation on 200 patients aged 20 to 50 who were observed for one year revealed that chest circumference increased by an average of about 5 cm regardless of age.

Brides-to-be are naturally concerned about the swelling caused by sudden cosmetic procedures. To effectively reduce swelling, you must focus on blood circulation.

Consuming foods that promote blood circulation or engaging in light exercise after surgery can help reduce swelling more quickly. However, you should avoid strenuous exercise that causes sweating, as it can hinder the reduction of swelling or decrease the survival rate of fat cells.

It is also advisable to refrain from salty foods that hinder moisture loss. You should take the prescribed antibiotics diligently, and it is recommended to avoid wearing a bra until the transplanted fat has fully taken root.

Make sure to wear a wire-free bra when going out. If you pay attention to these things, you can become the most radiant bride at the wedding.
